ACRC Won Stage 8 of the Interclub League in Batterstwon last night (Thursday May 29th) when Brendan Whelan sprinted home ahead of Shane Baker (Irc) in a big bunch finish. The race only came together in the closing few miles of the event, with the first few riders from scratch only making contact about a mile from the last corner. |

Matt and Colette Swift are raising money for research into Leukodystrophy. .
On 13 July 2008 Matt will compete in the Ironman Switzerland triathlon (3.8km swim, 180km bike, 42km run) and raise money for research into finding a cure for their son, Joseph, who has been diagnosed with an incurable neurological genetic disease called Leukodystrophy, and for others affected by similar demyelinating diseases. |

An adamstown Cycling Road Club’ rider finished in 4th Place in the first race of the 2008 season.The 2008 Dublin Interclub league started at 10.30am in Batterstown on Sunday (24th Feb) morning. ACRC riders were anxious to see if the hard work and long training hours over the winter would pay off with a good performance in Stage 1 of the handicapped event. |

During a recent trip to South America, I arranged through a tour company to take part in a cycle down what is termed as the ‘World’s Most Dangerous Road’. The road starts about an hour outside La Paz, which is the highest capital city in the World. The cycle starts at 4600m in alpine-like scenery, and descends down to Amazon rainforest at 1000m. |
