LCRC On Track At Awards Gala: Lucan CRC were represented by Roisin Kennedy, Brendan Whelan, Ben Moore, Ross Grogan, Darragh Zaidan and Stehen, Kayleigh & Denice Gibbons at The Echo Sports Star Awards Gala at the Louis Fitzgerald Hotel on Wednesday Night (Dec 16th). 

The Lucan CRC Track Team were one of 12 Contenders for the Echo Team Of The Year Award - which was announced at the Black-Tie Gala Night.

The Youth Track Team of Ben Moore, Ryan Whelan, Kayleigh Gibbons, Ross Grogan and Darragh Zaidan (Managed and Coached by Stephen Gibbons and Brendan Whelan) - put in a record breaking performance at this years National Track Championships

LCRC also awarded Double National Champion Kayleigh Gibbons with her new Irish Champion Skinsuit for the upcoming season.

The Club had a very successful year on the Track in 2009 winning:

• 2 Senior National Medals
• 8 Youth National Medals
• 9 Youth Leinster Medals
• 5 IVCA National Medals
• 1 Veteran National Medal

LUCAN TRACK TEAM
LUCAN Cycling Club has really blasted to the forefront of Irish Underage Track Cycling thanks to a handful of talented young competitors, namely, Darragh Zaidan, Ross Campbell Grogan, Kayleigh Gibbons, Ryan Whelan and Ben Moore.
They combined to see Lucan emerge as the most successful force from the National Youth Track Championships in Sundrive last month.
Indeed the team carded no less than eight medals at this event and among the highlights was Gibbons' gold medal wins in both the Under 12 100m and 200m Time Trials.
Zaidan earned silver while Grogan secured bronze in his respective Srcatch race and first-year rider Ryan Whelan twice finished third as well as second in a Scratch contest
