LCRC Rider Training In Wales: Lucan Cyclist Brendan Whelan began the new year with a Track Sprint Training Camp at Newport Velodrome (Jan 2nd / 3rd).
Whelan was one of four Irish riders at the camp along with Terry Cromer (Sundrive Track Club), Kate Rudd (Wolftrapp CC), Eddy Dunne, and UK based Louise Satherley. UK Track Coach David Le Grys and Lee Povey of www.fasttrackcoaching.biz hosted the event. The two day clinic covered the 200m time trial in great detail on day one, with both video feedback and expert analysis after each effort. On Day two, the riders went through various sprint specific training drills to incorporate into their own personal training programs. All the riders showed improved technique after two intense days of Track training. |
