Watt Bike Seminar Feb 3rd: PDF Print E-mail
Lucan Coaches Receive Watt Bike Training: LCRCs Stephen Gibbons and Brendan Whelan were two of the 16 Cycling coaches that attended a course on how to test riders using Cycling Irelands new Watt Bike testing systems.

The Watt Bike was developed with the help of the Olympic Medal winning British Cycling Team - and Cycling ireland hopes to use the new technology to test and identify new cycling talent

The seminar was  run by Eddie Fletcher from the UK who has been one of the key driving forces and scientists behind the development of the Wattbike since 2000.

There were 8 bikes on the day and 16 people.

Everyone had an opportunity to ride the bike to get a ‘feel’ for it during the day.

The sessions were focused on ‘how’ to use the Wattbike - and both Stephen and Brendan were impressed with how the new system worked.

=====
