Wicklow Ladies League 08: Stage 2: Report: PDF Print E-mail
Roisin Kennedy came home as 3rd Overall in Stage 2 of the New Wicklow Womens League last night. Approx 25 Women lined up for the New Womens League, for an exciting race that more than rivals recent Boot Inn events.

The races are run at a very high standard by Bray Wheelers - with plenty of Lead Cars and Marshals to keep the riders safe. The handicaps are well judged - giving every rider - from beginner to elite a fair chance of winning.

The Bray riders were out in force - led by former Olympian Jenny McAuley - showing a very strong BWCC Womens Section.

Kennedy and McAuley led the Scratch group over six laps of the Ashford circuit - with the remaining groups covering five laps.

The scratch group caught the riders ahead approaching the finish - with Kennedy losing out in the sprint for first.
