Whelan 6th in Dunsany: Fergus Whelan overcame a mechanical issue in the last Kilometre, and forced his bike over the line for 6th prize in the Dunsany Grand Prix on Sunday (May 12th).

Wheelworx Criterium Lge 2013 Rd 4:
Finola Fifth In Sandyford: Finola Lawlors Win in last weeks Criterium in Corkagh Park earned her an Upgrade to the B1 Race. Lawlor proved she is progressing well, taking an excellent 5th place on the night (April 30).

Mondello Bike Worx Series 2013:
Fergus First A3 In Mondello: Fergus Whelan put in a great ride to take the First A3 Prize In Mondello Park on Tuesday night (April 30). Fergus is on great form having taken prizes in a number of races this season.It could have been better for Adamstown,  Last years Overall Winner Brendan Whelan crashed out on the last corner and Kevin Whelan was away on his own with only a lap to go. ACT also had Michael Maher, Jimmy Dignam and Andrew Phelan making their Mondello debut.

Finola Wins At Corkagh Park: Finola Lawlor took her first Win of the season at Corkagh Park on Tuesday night (April 23). Finola was competing in the B Race, and she went clear to Win on her own, and go 3rd Overall in the League Standings.

Leinster Team Selection: Bedford International 2013
Kennedy Gets Leinster Call-Up: ACTs Roisin Kennedy has been rewarded for her excellent start to the Season by earning Selection to the Cycling Leinster Team for the Upcoming Bedford International 3 Day in the UK on the May Bank Holiday Weekend. Roisin last competed in this event in 2004 (Irish National Team) and 2005 (Cycling Leinster Team).

Stamullen Grand Prix 2013:

Ryan Back On Form In Stamullen: Ryan Whelan came home with a hard fought 5th prize in the Under 14 event in Stamullen on Sunday (April 14). The 2012 National Track Champion has moved up to the Under 14 Ranks this season, and he has already shown a liking for the longer tougher events. Ryan came home on his own ahead of the main field as he chased down the four leaders to the finish.

Noth Down Grand Prix 2013:
Roisin 2nd In SportActive Womens Road Race: Roisin Kennedy continued her incredible run of results with 2nd prize in North Down on Saturday (April 13). Roisin made the long trip up North for the Women's event, and only narrowly lost out on the Win. The large group of women set off to complete four laps of the course. In the second lap a group of three riders broke clear. These were Roisin Kennedy (Adamstown), Judith Russell (Phoenix CC) and Claire Oakley of XMTB /McConvey Cycles. These three women worked hard together and steadily increased their lead on the chasers. Coming to the line it was Oakley who out sprinted Kennedy to take the win with Russell taking third. Hayley Priestly (La Lanterne Rouge) got the jump on Janine McNally (North Down CC) and Louise Togneri (North Down CC) to take fourth.

Pat & Monie Nolan Memorial 2013:
Maher Back On Top In A4 Event: Michael Maher has had a dramatic start to his Cycling career, taking two first prizes in only three events. The International Rower followed up his win in the Lucan Grand Prix by taking the first A4 Prize in a tough A1/A2/A3/A4 race in Balscadden on Saturday (April 13). Maher had also been in action on Friday night in Piltown, but a mechanical forced him out with only a few laps remaining.

Wheelworx Criterium Lge 2013 Rd 1:

Kennedy 2nd In League Opener: ACTs Roisin Kennedy came home with 2nd prize in the opening prologue stage of the Orwell hosted Wheelworx Criterium league on Tuesday night (April 9). The uphill Time Trial to the  Johnny Fox pub attracted a strong womens field of 39 riders. The 2nd stage will be held on a tight Criterium circuit in Sandyford, Dublin.

Roisin (Winner of Stage 1 2010 / 2nd 2011 / 5th 2012) finished Second Overall in the League 2011 and fourth in 2012,

Aghagallon Cup 2013:


Kennedy 4th In Northern Ireland: 
Roisin Kennedy continued her run of good results taking 4th in the Aghagallon Cup on Sunday (April 7th), however after putting in all the attacks, and going clear with two riders in tow (Picture By Marian Lambe) ,

Roisin was to be disappointed at the finish as the A4 mens race clashed with the womens Sprint leaving Kennedy to roll over the line behind the mens race in fourth place.

Ben McKenna Memorial 2013:
Dillon 2nd In Balbriggan: Shane Dillon took 2nd prize in Balbriggan on Sunday (April 7th) to extend his excellent start to his debut season with Adamstown Cycling Team. The race was run over a testing hilly circuit and Dillon was confident that he would perform well. Shane had been unlucky the previous night when a crash forced him out of The Harry Reynolds memorial on the final lap.  Fergus Whelan was also in action for ACT in the A3 race. Fergus put in a good ride finishing with the leading riders.

National League 2013 Stage 1:

Roisin On Top Form In Laois: Adamstown Cycling Ladies Finola Lawlor and Roisin Kennedy travelled to Rathdowney on Sunday (March 31) for the first stage of the Women's 2013 National League.

Over 40 Women competed in the Ossory Cycling Club Event, and both Kennedy and Lawlor were happy after their first major test of the new season.
