Whelan Brothers In Prizes At Mondello: Open racing made a welcome retun to Mondello Park for the first time in almost 25 years on Thursday night (Sept 2nd). Adamstown were well represented in the handicapped event that saw the A4s make good use of their advantage to stay clear of the chasing A1/A2/A3 riders. Fergus and Brendan Whelan took 2nd and 3rd in their category after an enjoyable tough night of racing. |

Whelan Wins In Kilmessan: Adamstown Sprinter Brendan Whelan held off the main bunch to win the last big open race of the season, The Collins Christie Memorial in Kilmessan
The race came down to a bunch sprint after 6 tough laps of attacking racing, and Whelan lead out the Sprint to take a great win for the Adamstown Cyclist.

Adamstown Youth Medal At Championships: The Lucan Youth Track Team Won Six Medals at the National Track Championships On Saturday (Aug 7th), Adam Stenson (Under 12) and Adamstowns Ryan Whelan (Under 10) taking three medals each. Lucan ended the day with a New National Champion, as Adam Stenson lived up to his promise by winning the Scratch race, coming from behind in an exciting Sprint finish. |
